Simian, a Groningen-based printing company operating Reclameland, Drukland, and Flyerzone, has warned customers in the Netherlands and Belgium of a data breach involving an external service provider. Attackers may have accessed customer email addresses and hashed passwords, while credit card details belonging to a small number of customers were also intercepted. Simian, which serves around 500,000 customers, has not disclosed the total number affected. The company reported the incident to the Dutch Data Protection Authority and police and hired a cybersecurity firm to investigate. Simian confirmed that the breach was unrelated to the recent cyberattack on CEVA Logistics.
