The cyber group Handala claimed it carried out a successful cyberattack against SupraNet Communications, an internet service provider in Madison, Wisconsin. The group said the attack caused major internet outages and communication disruptions affecting businesses, corporations, government networks, and municipal services in the region. Handala stated that the attack was a response to what it called recent U.S. “provocative actions” and claimed the incident revealed weaknesses in U.S. critical infrastructure cybersecurity. The group criticized U.S. cyber defenses and warned that this attack was only the beginning, threatening further and more severe cyber operations in the future.
